Handwriting & numbers

Teaching A was always going to be a little bit tricky, he's got traits of both Dean & myself, so mixing that into a 3 year old child, with his own mind & ideas.. & BAM you've got yourself happy fun times!.

In all seriousness though, I ask A each time, more often than not it's a yes, so I always make sure I have treats to hand, to make it fun. We've been focussing so much on letters, we had not even thought of numbers, until A received some number writing homework!, so I decided to make my own, I drew 1-9 entirely in dots (such fun!) several times each line, scanned & printed 6 copies (for now) I thought it'd be great practice and also something he can show his teacher too!.

We've yet to do the numbers or even more letters, today he just wasn't feeling it, last thing I want to do is push him, that is not what I want to be like as a parent, he's still only 3 and has  nearly completed an entire book of handwriting practice already, I don't want to be that pushy mum, but I also don't want to not do anything educational with him either.

That might be me over analysing things but it's tricky enough & I don't want to give up because he has days he essentially cannot be bothered.

A is so incredibly headstrong & clever, he doesn't think he is, but he is, my job is to help him get more confident, & the day he writes his name all by himself will be a very very happy day!

He is of course still only 3.
