Review// GRRRRR!

Grrrrr!- by Rob Biddulph.

Come join Fred the Bear on a stunningly illustrated journey to be crowned the best bear in the wood and, just maybe, learn that there might be more to life than training...
Each year, for as long as the forest has stood,
A contest is held for the bears of the wood...
And Fred is the champion. He’s just that good.

Fred is the Best Bear in the Wood – and he’s got the medals to prove it. Being the best takes a lot of hard work, and time on your own, but Fred doesn’t mind.
Until a new bear moves to town, and Fred’s champion GRRRRR goes missing... How will he ever win now? Or will Fred instead learn that some things are more important than winning?
Grrrrr! is the second book from the fantastic and captivating author/illustrator Rob Biddulph.

Picking up the book, it's a gorgeous Hardback, with beautiful bold colours and inviting text, A picked it up and carried it off to "read through" by himself before I even had the chance to ask him if he wanted storytime! hehe.

We love how entire pages are pouring with the story & the adventure you sit and embark on from your seat!

The illustrations really helped us capture the story in our minds..

A sat on my lap & we opened up our brand new adventure..

The story had some lovely parts where I could put on certain character voices for A, he loved the story & also gave me the occasional look of "mum tone down the voice acting please" haha.

We loved that Fred made some friends, & we talked about how nice it is to have friends, talking about A's friends & mine also.

A counted all of Fred's medals & trophies, which he & I were very pleased about!.

We talked about what a contest was & that we should create our own in the garden one time soon, with a biscuit or two as a prize instead of a medal or trophy!.

The storyline is just beautiful, with a lovely ending to boot! (we'll say no more, we wouldn't want to spoil the story!).

There's a fantastic app too! http://grrrrr.harpercollins.co.uk/ -where you and your kids can upload your best Grrrrr sounds and to be crowned the best bear in the wood!, we're going to do ours too!.
